    Ok was a silly thing to write

    I’m not sure what you mean by that.

    When the camera is turned on and connected via IEEE 1394 windows auto play comes up and gives you two choices use movie maker or no action. In the past premiere pro a third choice!

    Do you have any software that can successfully capture from your handycam?

    In the past exactly same hardware, premiere pro 2.0 captured great and allowed output to tv monitor. In addition (now with xp 64 bit)can capture via windows movie maker!
