  • I’ve read that some people have had issues when using the 64 gig cards. I’m going to try the demo version of shotput pro to see if that helps. I’ll post my progress in the event that it helps anyone else.

  • Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately the speaker’s hands cross the surface of the desk and move within it’s border. I don’t mind cutting a mask or matte if it can be done. I’m pretty quick at it. I just can’t figure out how to add that area to the area that is already being keyed out by UltraKey.

Thank you, I had tried spill suppression, but the green reflection was just too prominent. It can’t fine tune enough to get out the small amount of reflection that causes static noise when playing from frame to frame.

I really just need to find a way where I can protect a section of the frame from being keyed out altogether.

I was sold the second they told me you could install it on both a PC and a Mac at your home office. Upgrades for the suite for just one OS usually run about $550 a year. The lease price for the full suite is $600 a year. So long as you like to stay up to date with the software this is a great deal in my book. It’s even better if you’ve never had to buy the initial software in the first place. And for those of us who already own it, the cost is only $30 a month for the first year.

  • Thanks, this really helps. I appreciate you taking the time to really spell it out.

  • Ok, I own Premier and FCP as well (not the latest of FCP, didn’t like the interface)

Can you point me in the right direction for workflow for Premier? I upgraded to AVID because I always respected the quality. I thought for sure there would be some way to do this, but I guess not.

  • Michael,

Thanks for the prompt response. However, I thought I had read a work process for Avid to do exactly what I’m trying to do without going into AE. I had read it some time ago though. It had something to do with setting up the project at hi-def first and then I think importing that bin into a new project that was set at a lower resolution.

Not sure if that was it for sure though. I’ll have to noodle around to see if I can figure out what the trick was.

If anyone else has additional input I’d appreciate it.

    MIchael,

Thanks for all your help. Right now this is a medical program with regulatory restrictions that prevent me from sharing files or posting any data about the project. I did what I did to try and resolve the technical issue of the AMA, but in the end I just imported the footage instead.

I do want to thank you for all of your help. I may be able to share info after the project is released, but right now my hands are tied.
