This is firewire DV in. The drive is a 7200 rpm GDrive. The drive is about half full.

The interesting thing is… I use a Matrox MXO2. Yesterday I had set the FCP video out to firewire to go to my DV deck. Then I forgot about changing that setting and today anytime I digitized and tried to look at it in the source window it would crash and if I through it in the sequence no problem. I just switched the video output back to the Matrox MXO2 and it works like there was never a problem…

    Wierd but true.

Not sure what is happening with this.

    Hi,

I don’t have an answer for your problem but I am wondering if you have nad any problems with Decklink HD Extreme. Are you running this on MAC?

I have a brand new MacPro OSX 10.5

I installed the Decklink HD Extreme Card. The computer ran fine with the card being in there.

Then a couple days later I installed the software. On the restart the computer hangs the moment the desktop background appears on the monitors. No Mouse. No keyboard. Nothing.

I rebooted in safe mode. Uninstalled the software. Computer ran fine.

Went to Blackmagic design site. Downloaded the 6.8.6 driver. Installed it. SAME RESULT. computer hangs on boot up when the desktop appears. Total Freeze Up.

NOT SURE WHAT TO DO NOW….

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for your patience… I selected anamorphic for all the clips but now they look horozontally stretched in the canvas etc… (looks fine on my external monitor set to 16:9) If I turn the anamorphic setting off iin the sequence the video in the canvas looks like the external monitor and doesn’t appear to be stretched horozontally any more. I do not understand this.

    Hi,

I don’t mean to inconvenience you. I did look at the site and it wasn’t apparent to me wether of not FCP 4.5 pre-bundle was too old to upgrade with.

I wasn’t sure if I would be out of the upgrade path. I’ll find a way to check with Apple.

    Thanks.
