  • Final Cut Keeps Crashing

    Hi,

I have had FinalCut for a couple years and it has worked flawlessly. This morning I digitized some footage and any time I put it in the source window to establish and in and an out… the moment I hit play… it crahses

If I put the clip in the sequence it will play. I have not changed anything. The video is coming in firewire. from a DV deck.

    Thanksin advance.

I suspect the drive. Tell us more details about the drive that your media is on.

This is firewire DV in. The drive is a 7200 rpm GDrive. The drive is about half full.

The interesting thing is… I use a Matrox MXO2. Yesterday I had set the FCP video out to firewire to go to my DV deck. Then I forgot about changing that setting and today anytime I digitized and tried to look at it in the source window it would crash and if I through it in the sequence no problem. I just switched the video output back to the Matrox MXO2 and it works like there was never a problem…

    Wierd but true.

Not sure what is happening with this.
