I’m not sure I would want to loose all features of 5.1 audio tracks, but to each their own.

You can do this from within Vegas without having to render the video.

And Vegas can put the resulting ‘submixed’ Stereo or MONO audio track back into the timeline as a new track.

Stereo will equal 1 track with two channels. Mono will equal 1 track…

I seem to recall that Magix has moved ‘Quicktime’ to what they call a ‘deprecated feature’ in Vegas Pro (later versions). I think you can re-enable it if you choose. Look under ‘Options->Preferences->Deprecated Features’

You need to activate ‘Time Stretch’ mode on the event.

Move your Cursor to the end of the event you want to stretch.

Hold down the ‘Ctrl’ key. (The cursor will change to the stretch mode, not Trim mode.)

Left click and drag the end of the event for the correct duration as needed.

I’m curious, since your ‘sand’ png is above ‘SunnyBeach’ video, do you need the mask on ‘SunnyBeach’?

I don’t have Vegas 18, but in previous versions you could stop the recording by clicking the ‘PAUSE’ instead of ‘STOP’ and the playhead would stay at the end of the event. I think hitting the ‘Enter’ (or return) key while recording would also act like clicking the ‘PAUSE’ icon.

Aaarghh! Except, the Fusion Composition now does not show when I switch back to the ‘Edit’ page! I mean, it’s on the timeline but it does not ‘render’ in the viewer. But I can switch back to the Fusion page and preview ‘MediaOut1’ in the viewer.

Well, I’ve been trying to dig into what was wrong with my Fusion Composition and kept monkeying around with things until I’ve found my own solution.

I can’t really believe that what I discovered would be the ‘expected’ behavior but who knows.
