Thanks for the info. So Just to be clear, I set the camera to 1080 24p and in FCP I use the DVCPRO HD 1080 24p setting and check the, remove pulldown. Or should the camera be on the 1080 24pA setting and then in FCP select the 1080pA24 setup? Thanks again.

    Hey Stuart and Bob,

Thanks a ton for the information. I think the model I will go with is the Leader LV7700. I can live without the component inputs since most of what we do is on DigiBeta, D5, or HDCAM and the SDI inputs will be sufficient. The workflow we have established here in house doesn’t require the audio function since all audio goes out of house for mixing, but it’s kind of one of those nice features to have even though it will rarely come in handy. The only other brand I’ve ever used is the Tektronix, but that was an SD model. A quick question about the LV7700. It says you can set warnings if it reaches a user defined limiit. Does this give an audible tone or is it onscreen? From what I can tell the output to the monitor is a DVI connection. Can this be converted to run a regular vga/xga monitor?

Thanks again for all of your insight.

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for the info. It was informative. The LV7700 is actually one of the front runners I’ve been looking at. Even better, I just got a quote for under 6000. This model seems to do a little bit of everything from waveform monitoring to the vectorscope function and also audio analysis which will just be handy to double check our mixes before laying off. Final Touch is certainly on the radar. I’ve seen demonstrations and it seems to be a powerful program. Now if only Apple can integrate it into Final Cut a little better… Thanks for your help!
