Look the same even with render settings in FCP set to best. I am upgrading to FCS 3 this week with Motion 4. Will see if that fixes it.

    Thanks again

Right ok I did all that but no change. Should I see the image jagged because I slightly downsized it in motion even if I rendered it in motion? Then when I drop the motion file in the FCP sequence and render it in FCP it should be clean correct? My render settings in FCP for Motion was set to normal. Should I set it to Best?

Thanks for the help on this

The JVC GY HD200 with the optional DR-HD100 will also record 1080i/60. But do I truly need 1080p 29.97p, 23.98p? Or would I be limiting myself with only the 1080i?

    Thanks again,
    Donal

That is some brilliant advice. I was just looking at the JVC GY-HD200UB because it also is PAL compatible. I can get the DR-HD100GB that will format in Quicktime. Is the JVC GY-HM700U also PAL compatible (for multi-regional flexibility)? I also looked at the JVC GY-HM100U because of the multiple flash bays. But, it is a bit limited. Very tempting still.
7 grand is a bit more than I was planning to spend. But, maybe if the camera is that good, it is worth it. I will just have to save more damn money. Is 1080p that important compared to 720p? The JVC GY – HD200UB does know do 1080i only with the opt. DR-HD100GB.
You would know better since you own them.

    Thanks,

  • The Omni Parker House Hotel. Quite a historic place even for Boston. Loads of history there. Have a look at the website. One of the top ten historic hotels in the US. They even claim it to be haunted. The who’s who of the pass 150 years has stayed or lived there.
    Good luck.

The new JVC GY-HM100U Compact Handheld camcorder. That was the one I was referring to. The lenses are not interchangeable. The fixed lens makes me ask if that will be an issue for any free lance work. Short film wise yes that would be I know of course. But otherwise?
I am again trying to buy the most compatible camera for event work and everything in between.
Should I go with the new compact JVC or say, the Sony HVR-V1U for compatibility and options? The FCP native format of the JVC is very tempting after I just finished a log and batch capture of an hour of HD off miniDV.
