mp3 usually worked well in ae with my older window xp !!! Thank you for your assistance i will convert to wave!!!

when i import mp3 files into my ae project there is a glitch approximately 2sec in the audio track ! there is a space in the waveform ! i bought a new laptop windows 7! should i restore and reinstall!!! can someone help me out!!
