The link says “improved”. Does that mean it’s right, or just close? Close doesn’t justify the cost, being right would certainly make me consider it. Thanks for the info.

The link was from their manual and has a conversion sheet telling you what FCP Effects turn into once in Premiere, like Dip To Color is changed to Dip to Black. Just got a response from a Premiere guy who said CS5.5 is much better at this. May have to see If I can find a buddy who has upgraded.

Thanks for the response Dave, and I’m very aware of the software developers are not the best of friends. The last month of trying to make BR Discs has made this painfully obvious. But, when I’m in Premiere the 3way shows up in the “Effects control” pane, with adjustments already made but with some weird numbers that don’t match FCP. Premiere’s manual says it will take them.

Just trying to find out if the right way is to Color Correct in FCP and find a work around in XML or to do it in Premiere which would be a PITA.

Thanks Charles, I was afraid that was going to be your answer. We do event videos and have a high volume, up to 20 finished DVD’s a day, which is no problem in DVD Studio Pro. But with Blu-Ray, chaptering by hand would get a little time consuming.

Charles, does this mean you are using Creative Suite for the encoding, or do you just replace the media with encodes created with Compressor? Or do you bring in your Compressor encodes into Premier? Thanks

Sounds like Brent is asking about the quality of the final audio, and doesn’t have any issues with clipping or bad audio. I’m curious if any one is unhappy with AC3 audio that has been recorded at proper levels?

I’m using an “XLR to Mini” connector. I’ve tried 2 different ones, both new (less than a month old)

Thanks for the tips Matte, but I think the 1202 is a line/mic mixer. The back has the same +4/Mic button as the 1402. is there another setting that I’m missing on the 1402. If so I’ll yank the 1402 out of the studio to use for this project.

I’ve had a couple of friends ask if the camera was on battery or plugged in. It was plugged into the wall, would running the camera on battery make a technical difference. (I’ll try as many things as I can, but can only use the GL2 one day a week, so I want to have as many solutions as possible for that one day.)
