  • the colour management may be to blame, damned if it can get it to leave anything alone.
try just rendering out (no filter) and see if it messes with the gamma/colour. When I do this and compare before and after quictimes the difference is rather large.

    not happy

I too am having a VERY similar problem. My HDLINK is one of the earlier ones. This product is fully up to date with the latest firmware etc and worked flawlessly for over a year. I now get garbled phase type distortion every 5-10 mins or so (sounds like an aphex twin remix). It lasts around 3-5 seconds and then clears. This is very annoying and not good when doing client previews. I have isolated to the hdlink box as I connected it from a deck to an amp only. The amp works fine with any other source and has been tested by an electrical engineer. I am glad I am not the only person with this issue. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I do not think the problem is with dv etc. I get motion artifacts on ANY movement SD/HD, even my cursor when it acts as a 2nd screen, it looks like interlacing but it isnt. When the movement stops the image is perfect. I have not fiddled with the HDLINK utility yet. I am connected from the decklink card to the HDLINK with 1 SDI cable and out of the the HDLINK to a new 23″ apple display (which is working fine). I try not to work with interlaced footage at all wherever possible.

All sorted. This is great, everything is now working as it should. Very impressive.
One question tho, I regularly use progressive footage at DV quality and it looks interlaced on the hd link 23″lcd.
Looks like the hd link box is doing some sort of conversion.
    Is this normal?
