Shut up and quit your stupid whining, Zelin. At 54, you are barely past your fetus stage. With your experience, you probably started working 10 years before you were born. And you say you are scared? Just wait until that first social security check comes in… then you can claim a right to be scared. Wow! Tired and cranky when you can still whip and snap with the best of them? Don’t you know that “old” is someone five years older than you, and “young” is someone five years younger. I look with nostalgia at the stand-up Moviola that Moviola uses as a conversation-piece in their lobby while someone waters the plant they have growing in it. That’s old. But I have my Panasonic Hvx200, my cutting edge Avid bay, and am taking delivery on my Panny Plasma… just in time to be put out of work by some high-school kid cutting from the cloud. Really, the only answer is that we all take the Kool Aid now, and beat the 2011 rush, because it is common knowledge that fossils can’t shoot or cut.
