I can agree with Angelo’s assessment – mocha is a great tool and it’s a great plugin/add on with After Effects. A lot depends on visually seeing the shot where you can make the best decision on how to approach what you’re looking to do.
Besides, mocha and perhaps a tad easier is the 3d camera tracker tool which is probably just as good as Mocha in this case and is much easier to use. If this fails, then definitely go try mocha.

OR…
Use Adobe Prelude if you already have a CC subscription. It is a file-based, ingest, logging and rough-cut tool. You can easily import the clip and cut it up and send a timeline to Premiere Pro.

23.98 = 23.976.
23.976 is the actual frame rate that other NLEs display as 23.98
Aspect ratio is another thing. Wide screen DV is often considered 1.2:1 but in fact it is 1.2121:1.

That is indeed a really well done commercial. The parallel story line and live switching provides an interesting element.

Here’s some general things to think about or do:
1) GPU debayering is accelerated for RED and a couple of other codecs but is NOT REQUIRED for fast exporting.
2) Balance as someone mentioned is key. I have recently seen a lot of users with 64GB of RAM leave 6GB of RAM for the OS and everything else. This is WRONG. General rule of thumb is 75% of TOTAL RAM to Adobe apps and 25% to OS.
3) If you’re having issues, trash the preferences of Premiere Pro AND clean the media cache.
4) Some 3rd party plugins are accelerated and will substantially increase your render time. Try without 3rd party effects to determine if one is dogging you and then reassess.
5) Warp Stabilizer and Time Remapping can add to the render time. If you’re doing a lot of this (especially common with large frame work) then this will increase your total render time.
6) Expectations: If you have a large timeline and lots of media and effects, etc. etc. and you’re rendering on a laptop with 8GB of RAM…well…. it may take a bit longer.Hope this helps,

Sounds like either a piece of corrupt media or perhaps its time to clean your media cache which you can do in the media preferences.

If you’re disabling XMP in Premiere Pro, make sure you’re unchecking all three of these:

If you’re having big issues, then the first line of defense is to trash your preferences and/or clean your media cache. If for some reason you’re still having an issue, then either you have a corrupt project or corrupt media in the project OR you should try a reinstall of the system.
To deal with the first, create a new project and import a sequence of the old project and render out. How does it do? If better, then a corrupt project.
