  • Unfortunately I found out Media Manager can’t be used on Windows 10, because win10 no longer supports “SQL Server 2005”, which is necessary for it to work. So I have no idea, if it works for me.

I have now used this way:
If you need to separate what’s in the project and what’s not:
I would save the project to a separate (empty) folder. Just make sure, to check “copy media with project” on the “save as…” dialog. That will copy the mediafiles used in the project to that folder as well.

Something like a green little check mark on the files in the explorer in vegas, if they are already in the project, would be very helpful for such things.

Thanks for all the replys guys!
If someone has some more ideas, feel free to add them!
I run into this problem too many times somehow hehe.

Have a great day everyone! 🙂

  • Yes exactly you are correct. That is a good idea, but I have never used the Media Manager. I use Vegas 13 and since a few weeks Win10 (because I had too).
Unfortunately the latest download I can find is for Vegas 11

Do you know if it still available for Vegas 13, or do you know if it is still working?

    Thank you!
    Best Regards!

Wow thank you very much! That is exactly what I need! It helps me incredibly much!

I never heard of this window. It can indeed be useful.

So if the number of events is known and the desired length is known, then it’s a math problem to what length each event can be if they are divided up evenly.
    Exactly. 🙂

Thanks for your help guys! Have a great day.

here is what i tried today:

i tried to rename all folders so that vegas schould say missing files

the next thing i tried was move all the skf files

then i tried to reinstall the lagarith codec

    nothing worked for me

then i tried to add all files to a new project
there was no error or something
i saved it, closed it, started it again and get the same error at 17% loading. thanks for the idea 🙂 now i know its one of the avi files.

but what can i do now ? move the files or delete them don’t helps

ok i updated today to build 701 but it didn’t helped :/
    same error at 25% loading
    only in this project file

is there maybe a way to open this file in another program and drag the files in a new project ?

i only need the clips, no effects and such
cause it was very time intensive to cut all this little pieces out of hours of filming
