    Thanks for the suggestions. I passed them on to the guy I was working on the project with. Hopefully they’ll help us figure it out.

    I’m also a long time PS user but new to After Effects. I find the same frustrations color correcting/grading in AE you do. It sounds clunky, but actually can be quite fast to bounce between PS and AE figuring out what adjustments you want to use.

    One thing to remember is that you can save settings for Curves etc in PS and then open them in AE. Cuts a step out of your process as you don’t need to import the comp.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll give that a try and let you know how if that solves the problem.

    This project is really a learning experience for both the photographer and I. They’re portfolio/reel pieces so there’s little pressure, but we do want to learn the best way to get the job done.

    After spending 20 years retouching images for movie posters and ads making the move to learn After Effects has been an interesting experience.
