On the website, which I can’t remember but could google “TV ratings”
it says the super needs to be up for the first :15 of program material.
Here at your local PBS community station that means after funders credits as the body of the show begins.Del

You would need access to a scope and be able to magnify it to count the lines.
A simpler way would be to record their air signal, note where the network bug/animation appears and use that as the template for avoiding that area with your graphics/text material. Remember that the letterbox is going to give you black bars top & bottom and so in many cases your text/graphics in the lower third of your picture will not appear in their bug because their bug is over the black bar and not active video. Hi
I think Scott Selby’s Photoshop 7 Down & Dirty Tricks had some of what you are looking for. Creating and/or using ragged brushes as erasers can often create edge effects using masks/alphas to make transparent edges.

Hi
Are you assuming the station is DVC ProHD or have they told you that? We are community licensed PBS member and we have HDCam and D5-HD.How long are the Dr. Doodah segments? At 6MB per frame x 30 fps you would use 180 MB/s on a tif sequence to DVD, which holds 4.7 GB. So for 300 seconds (5 minutes) you would use 54 GB. That is why HD tape uses compression in the range of 2: or 3:1.
If you are shooting in HDV, are you editing on Final Cut Pro?
If so, why not re-record on the camera and take the tape/camera to the TV station. Then you could firewire it out to one of their edit stations and let them transcode it to their format. That provides a temporary solution until your Exec Prod realizes production is going to HD and if you want your product on a station, he’ll have to shell out some shekels to make it a decent broadcast product. There already is some controversy about using HDV in broadcast situations but at this point maybe it won’t affect you.Good luck.

In order for the graphic file to be an eps format it has to have certain characteristics, such as vector based and containing protocols inherent to eps. Remember, Illustrator can also save files as ai and other vector formats, so it does use the eps protocols when saving as eps. Illustrator will also save raster based files that have been imported as eps but those won’t have individual character information, it will be a block. If you start with a vector eps or ai file, you can make changes and save back to the original format or to an alternate format. HTH

they feed on each other with talented artist being the prime mover. The artist might get an idea from someone else’s work (as often happens) but then use the great tools to go off in a completely different tangent to create a project that has no relationship the inspiring work’s idea, other than that initial spark it put into the artist’s mind. Idea’s come from the artists and the great work comes from their knowledge of and ability to use the tools.

It’s similar to using a slower ASA on film. Less grain/noise but more light needed to keep the iris from being opened to the max. If lit properly the images will be cleaner in relationship to signal to noise.

You might also try Studio Cutz. They have a wide variety of music and the prices aren’t bad. We have used their music for a couple years now, albeit sparingly. We also use SmartSound and have purchased many of their available disks. We have used it for promos, features for longer programs and for underscores on documentaries. We don’t find it cheesy because we choose from a wide variety of their music before we decide. We also have Digital Juice’ BackTraxx. This music can be cheesy or too electronic so we are very careful when we make a selection from it. 615 Music in Nashville also has a wide selection of music on a 3 year term buyout. It is a little more expensive but they do national work so they can ask more. I think Killer Tracks also has a selection of royalty free music in their libraries. HTH
