I’ll run through how I’ve created it from scratch, as you may be able to spot where I’m going wrong…
I created a sphere and made it editable, created a new material making the colour blue then I’ve tried several things…
In the material editor, I added the logo using the ‘texture’ tab in the colour tab – this then shows the white background behind the logo from the PSD photoshop file (the logo is on a separate layer in photoshop).
So then I selected the alpha tab and loaded the same image into the texture tab – this keeps the white background but makes the sphere appear transparent, so I can see the other side of the sphere through the logo and the blue disappears, but the material editor shows it as blue.
So I tried adding the logo into the same tabs as above but using an illustrator 8 file instead – this just shows up black!
I’m sure there is a really simple solution and I’ve probably made a beginners mistake somewhere along the lines!!
