In the second grab is the one where I have the area of black before the transitions. That I do not want.

O.k… I deleted everything and started over. So let me ask this?

I put the events in one at a time. I time stretched every other event.
Each event is bumped up next to one another. No overlapping done by me.
I checked each one over and over again. No events are moved over the other.
I do have the automatic crossfades highlighted up on the top toolbar.

THEN…I select all and added my transitions…bad news…same results.
I am getting close to giving up. But I am too stubborn for that.

I have read and watched just about every tutorial that I can find.
Meanwhile the laundry is piling up! LOL

On the bottom screen shot. I did make the second part slow motion intentionally.
So that shouldn’t be the problem. It works on the other ones that I did that way.

Oh and ya’ sorry to be a bother gain…I did try to drag the clip to make it look like
the one does on the top. But then what happened to me was it caused the clip to stutter.
How do I say that right? Like a stutter repeat of the clip, like a skip in a record.
Remember lp records? LOL

Hello anyone still out there?

I figured out what was wrong only I dont know how to fix it.

The transition is not overlapping on either side of some clips.
I do have the clips set to automatically overlap one another.
Stretching the event only messes the clip up, making it repeat a portion of it.
I dopnt know how to click and drag just the transition without stretching the event.

What do I do…I cant seem to fix it.

Ya I suppose! I am self taught. I remember when I learned PhotoShop and PaintShop.
I thought I was never going to get the hang of it. Now it is a piece of cake.
Thank goodness I learned that, before this. It has helped with my understanding.

I mean at least for the things I am doing. Just home videos of my children.
I wish I could go to school and “really” learn how to use this software.

Thank you for helping me.
“Screen Shot” that is so hilarious…I had no idea!
I thought I did such a good job! Funny!

Here is what I came up with, I did the GPU thing and I will see what happens.
In the meantime, I found a second choice for a transition that does not have the same issue.

I am pretty certain that I do not have a good enough computer for this software.
For now, while I am learning Sony Vegas I will be ok.
The more comfortable that I get with learning the software and if I get some good results.
I would like a new pc, had this one since 2008.

So let me ask you guys something. When you were first learning Sony Vegas,
how many hours would you spend on your initial projects.

ok…I will try to get a screen shot.
I will be new to doing that so dont give up on me if it takes me a while.

ETA: Here it is. The first 3 pics are a good transition.
The second 3 pics are the faulty transition. it stays on the black page for 8 frames.
I have tried everything I can think of. different transitions. adding them one by one as
opposed to select all method. I have tried deleting the sub-clips and starting over.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
