Here’s a workaround: Export a clip using the same settings as your timeline, then use that file to create whatever other file type/codec you want using Media Encoder.

This is a terrific place to ask that question. You can’t go wrong with either Flanders monitor, cost is the most important consideration, if you can afford the OLED monitor it will serve you well.

Scott, if ten others were willing to take the same bet I’d be happy to give you a chance, and I’d be happy to pay you off in ten years if you win, because I’d win from eight or nine others here for every one who’d win. And, just for the record, it’s not the veterans here I worry about, it’s the young guys here who think democratization has given them a better or improved chance at a long term “sustainable” career in this industry. Where we call it democratization, Uberization, or Walmartization of this industry, it has opened the business to more, and more videos ARE being made, but the majority of people making those videos are less and less likely to be making a living making a living making those videos, thus making the biz unsustainable for most.

I completely agree with Tero, lose the 2nd GPU. That machine was most likely running Avid and/or Resolve a few years back, when both apps were optimized to run best with one card for processing and one for display. And, the K4000 was really the first modern Nvidia Quadro card, and the first with enough performance that it really didn’t need that 2nd card. Though your K4000 is still a nice card, there are newer cards that are vastly more powerful today, and for a lot less money too, however, since Apple no longer sells computers with PCI cards, there are fewer cards available now that work in these older towers, unless you buy one for Windows that’s been hacked.
