Hi Cal,
I’ve posted these articles before but will do so again.https://www.precomposed.com/blog/2009/07/hd-to-sd-dvd-best-methods/
https://www.precomposed.com/blog/2010/10/hd-to-sd-dvd-cs5-revisited/The popular editors (Premiere, FCP, etc…) cannot produce great results when downscaling from HD to SD (the articles will explain why). To get even remotely better results using these programs will require many hours of encoding and the result still won’t be of pro quality.
The methods used in the above articles (and the one below) are absolutely excellent and a major time saver – and all the programs used are free.
Warning – the process seems intimidating but take it step by step and after a few times it will seem like second nature.
Jeff Bellune also explains this process on his website. https://bellunevideo.com/tutlist.php

Bitvice sounds like a really cool program to have. Even though it’s almost $200. I would probably get it if they had a Windows version.

hello, I don’t use either of the two programs you mentioned but I’m sure you’re having the same problem Premiere and FCP users are having and that’s getting a clean standard DVD from HD.
These two articles will give you the answers and results you need.

The process will look and seem intimidating but once you do it a time or two it’s really not bad. It will save you lots of time.
Hope it helps,

You may want to check out this site.
https://alvaroyus.com/He has good information on this very subject. He uses the D7000.
I use his custom picture style.
You can download it here:

This can be done on a DVD the way I described it. I do a lot of lectures/seminars on various subjects and I make my presentations this way. It’s my version of power point. I have never owned a laptop so this way I can show my slides via any DVD player.

Why would it take “weeks” to set up. Sure with 2000 slides it will take some time but really not that much at all.
>put (up to) 99 pictures into a Slideshow
>select that Slideshow in the Project panel
>check Manual Advance (in the Basic tab of the Properties Panel)
>set Slide Duration timeDONE!
Just repeat until all 2000 slides are finished.

In Encore
>>>import your slides as a Slideshow
You will have to have multiple Slideshows as Encore only allows 99 slides per Slideshow.>>>select the Slideshow in the Project Panel
>>>check Manual Advance in the Properties panel/Basic tab
This will allow the user to use the DVD remote for advancing each slide.>>>set Slide Duration to desired time (I usually set it to 1 sec)
This means that each individual slide will play for 1 sec. It will NOT advance to the next slide after the 1 sec. The user will have to do this. That’s pretty much it. Just pickwhip all your Slideshows together (via the End Action) so they can play continuously.
There is an option to add transitions in-between each slide. I usually find that these transitions tend to react in a jumpy manner when my DVD players play them. I do have older DVD players so maybe that’s the problem(?). Test it out.
You can even add video clips within the Slideshow too.

I would tend to think that if the problem is happening with 2 different cards that it would be the camera.
