All was good until 3D text on older, cheese grater, Mac Pro comes into play. Then the beach ball from hell shows up. At least on the Motion side, somewhat slow render time in X appears as well. Must be needing more memory or the shiny tube model.

I have nothing against renting software but when there is not a clear exit strategy I am reluctant to subscribe. Nothing personal just a business model that I respectfully disagree with at the moment. In the event Adobe has some type of buyout option I will consider changing my position.
With that said, intersted to see what Adobe has planned. Will be interesting in a very good way.

I was hoping AJA would acquire The Foundry not Adobe. I am concerned over this move as well. At least Fusion won’t drain your wallet completely empty. Adobe should consider making hardware then perhaps the rental only fiasco would stop or at least slow down. My two cents.

Thank you. Will be looking around on eBay for a camera. Anything that I need to look for? I am planning on editing in Resolve 12 when it becomes available.

Just wonder what virus or bacteria is ready to give a nasty bite on those one armed bandits. Hope no one got the Norovirus, had that two years ago, not much fun but very quick recovery.

Apple needs to update OS X as well. Got an error message that a temporary file cannot be created when tryung to erase free space or could not repair permissions. Apple please do not become another Windows version. Your lovely iOS update royally messed up data in the health app, then again never be an early adopter. Sigh . . .

I am a bit worried over what could happen to FCP X after the Photos launch. Dissapointed big time, then again something could happen. Something wonderful. Who knows but hey they added 3D text! Perhaps that is something to be excited about, could see an application in well graded kitty videos or epic escalator fails. All crazy stuff on You Tube to watch.

At the top of my list is Resolve 12, as a owner of the Cinema Camera, thus lloks like a very nice update. I really hope the performance is improved. Will just have to wait like everyone else. I am also considering shooting on film, yes film. So now Resolve is even more of an interest.
What threw me for a bit of a surprise was the update to my old pal X, being released during the NAB event. No need to comment on 3D text, pretty well covered.
I am going to zip through the Adobe forum out of curiousity. While not happy with rental only still interested to see what is going on.
Now back to life.

I have no issue with a 3D title but 3D movies are a bit overrated, not to mention the motion sickness they invoke.
