Transcend 32 G cards…?..Its starting to get confusing. Sony cards or after market cards…I was thinking two 16 gb cards would do but now I am thinking not…maybe two 32’s is better

I am still thinking that I might need the new laptop anyway to download when I am in the field…meaning back at the hotel
I like to think I shoot smart but shooting outdoor production, from fishing to sky diving, from dark to dark sometimes, I better be able to dump and reload… I have looked at storgae units but a tricked up laptop from B&H for a grand would give me 500 Gb hd to work with

I am open to sug. as this will end up being a ten-k investment for me

Thanks for any input in advance

Because the “tape-less” stuff is new to me I was thinking dumped to a laptop, reviewed, knowing its all there. Mostly just an archive unit / viewing is what I was thinking…but thats about 1000 for this unit( with 16 in.mon.) so for another 700 I do 2 32GB cards …. depending on camewra set choices wonder what I can exspect to see as far as filling these two cards up?

okay this is what happens…I will build a project on E,D or F drive, I have a 500GB ext hard drive for storage.
after I build the timeline, drop in narration and music, do all my transistions, bascly finish it, I close it out. The next day when I return to check over the project, tweek here and there…the audio is gone. On the timeline you see all the blocks audio and video, but all the audio boxs are like…empty. I have checked everything I know to check. Then last week I had a project that when I opened it the next day all my video transistions had disaperaed( sorry, my spelling sux)
I am still baffeled and, reluctent to do any new work unless I turn key it in one seting

Yes, I have also tried at the end, making a copy, placing it as a new project on another HD…sometimes this works

    signed …..help me!

thanks for the advice. cant swing a grand but a hundred bucks I have…lol….. I have tried that to no avail. Is it possible that you could call me and we can discuss these issues with me at the system. It might be that I am not clearing things out right. I have 4 hard drives and I am moving things around all the time
I will be back in my office after 3:00 today( Texas time) if you can call me.

    Thanks for your help
