Before the onslaught, yes i did try opening the project on the original computer, and yes it does ask me to reconnect my media, and yes only channel one of the audio shows up even though there are hundreds of keyframes on channel two.

Yes the music was professional recorded and mastered and is 2 channel stereo. Being that these are music videos being released as a sampler for a record label dual mono would be a bad idea. Ben’s advice worked perfectly for me, I did not have any phase issues.

As far as I know dual mono tracks are not stereo, which is why I asked the question in the first place.

Would a macbook pro with a firewire 800 port work?

On location, seeing the standard definition out of the camera to a monitor should be fine, I am just cutting rough dailies to make sure the scenes work out.
