Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m away from the office but when I get back in, I’m going to try the Pro Res 4444 and the QT PNG codec.

Thank you for your answer. That makes sense. Where did you get your reading of 99.7% for the alpha? Also, how did you tweak the alpha? Or is just a matter of adding levels within FCP and adjusting the white level manually?
