I have been trying this workflow with the understanding that FCPX’s 64 bit superiority would allow it to utilize my systems full resources (i5 with 20 gb of ram) as opposed to 7’s limit at one core and 4 gb’s yet i tested the theory with a 10 minute clip from a 5D and X was 3 TIMES SLOWER! I am really hoping that this is a UE or an incorrect pref, b/c i was really looking forward to using this workflow to speed up projects that i am forced to cut in 7.
