<p>When editing deadlines I am a &#8216;rabid raccoon&#8217; and go crazy when I cannot find a file because it </p>
<p>is not inorder.  I like A B C D&#8230; Open for suggestions.</p>

The player was hooked up to my old MAC and Final Cut Pro 7. No problem with importing into FC7. The MAC crashed forever. My question: I&#8217;d like to capture into DaVinci 18. Under preferences in DaVinci, under Video I/O, capture device is dark and states NONE. Is it possible to capture into DaVinci&hellip;</p>

Seems that on the M-1 MAX Apple, I Catalyst crashes. But on my iMAC the older Catalyst does not crash. Now I have to constantly switch computers back and forth if I want to quickkly color grade and then use the DaVinci on the MAX.</p>

I wrote to them at least 6 times. It seems I am going a little longer  with Browser before that crashes. I have been handling both Browser and Catalyst  kid gloves but they still crash, especially Catalyst.</p>

I shoot with the FX6. Sony gives you the Browser for the footage. And / or buy Sony Catalyst. Both continue to crash on my Apple M-1 MAX. Sony Support does not answer ???s and pushes you off. But they get their money. I have sent them 12 emails. Am I missing something with preferences or has Sony not&hellip;</p>

Sony is so kind to give us the Catalyst Duo inorder to watch our media. The Browser is free but Prepare cost $$$. I also got Prepare but it constantly crashes. Matter of fact they both crash on my Apple M1 Max / version 12.4 Monterey.</p>
<p>Anyone have such a problem with Sony&#8217;s Catalyst. Forget about getting an answer from&hellip;</p>

I was hung up on Final Cut Pro since it blasted onto the scene in April 1998 (around then???). Glad I made the leap 3 years ago.  I have always been an artist creator butn lack the techny computer  wisdom. Although I have been forced to. I shoot with the Sony FX-6 and use DaVinci 17. 4</p>

Duh?!@#$ You are right. Why should I convert. Initially using the FX6 footage it seemed to be stuttering so I figure Davinci could not handle the FX6&#8217;s codec.</p>
<p>I kept playing around with it. Now I just tried the raw Fx6  footage again and it seems to be working fine. I greatly appreciate it that you just slapped me across the&hellip;</p>

Sony provides the Catalyst Browser in order to change the </p>
<p>wrapper.  I spit out ProRez and ingest it into Davinci 17.3</p>
<p>The problem I am having is in the edit page, sometimes the video does not move, shakes,</p>
<p>stutters, etc. in the viewer,  I cannot even place in and out sometimes. I insert into the timeline anyway and it&hellip;</p>
