I’m fairly new to resolve so please forgive me if this has been asked and answered before.
Whenever I apply a third party OFX effect to a clip in the timeline (in my case Boris FX Sapphire) the render cache does not work correctly. The thin red line that indicates if something is being cached either stays red or actually caches and turns blue but still plays at 4-5fps instead of the full 24fps my project is set at.
Strangely, if I select the Color page and add an OFX effect to a color node it seems to cache correctly and play back at the full 24fps even when I then go back to the edit page. I can use it this way but then I have to go back and forth between the edit and color pages if I want to alter any of the effects settings which is not ideal. This does not happen to effects supplied by Blackmagic, they seem to work correctly.
I have setup render cache correctly and am using the “User” preference so I’m not sure why this happening. Is this a know bug with third party plugins or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
