I develop and produce content for MTV.com's MTV Other brand of original content, primarily comedy, animation, and music-driven shortform content.
From 2007-2013 I worked for MTV Cross Media – MTV’s studio for multi-platform development and production.
In its incarnation as MTV New Media, we created “jackassworld” – the jackass web vertical – and platform for the digital launch of “jackass 2.5”, “$5 Cover” – Craig Brewer’s (“Hustle & Flow”, “Footloose”) multi-platform series set in the Memphis music scene, and “Invincible,” the motion comic for Robert Kirkman’s (“The Walking Dead”) hit indie superhero comic.
Also at MTV New Media, I co-wrote and directed the horror webseries “Savage County” which, on the strength of a 150,000-person demand campaign, premiered on MTV2 in October of 2010, and has been subsequently released on DTO, video-on-demand, and DVD by Cinetic’s Film Buff division.
Rebranded MTV Cross Media/MTVX in January of 2011, we launched a series of music videos, including Best Coast’s “Our Deal” – directed by Drew Barrymore with an all-star cast including Chloe Moretz, Donald Glover and Tyler Posey and “Fucking Best Song Everrr” by Wallpaper – directed by Christy Karacas, creator of “SuperJail!”
I executive produced five new episodes of the classic MTV animation franchise “Liquid Television” for digital release, coming sometime in 2013.
Prior to MTV, I was a member of Fox Television Studio’s Think Tank and worked as a creative in television, advertising and animé. I got my MFA in directing from UCLA and my BFA in film from the Rhode Island School of Design.
When I'm not making stuff for MTV, I'm writing/producting/directing my own stuff. It's a compulsion, really. I need better hobbies.
