Hi, So if i import the mgm lion and mask off the lion… Do i just put that on top of my footage that wants to be in the space where the lion should be?

I got the files from the site and checked all settings of the comp.. the only thing that is different is the size of the comp.. His is a bit too small.. i’m trying to do it for a dvd. About 720 x 576 is what i’m going for.. Maybe this is my problem… I’m going to try and do it at his size and see if that makes a differnce. But not hoping for much as when i load my comp in.. the CPU goes straight up 100% and i cannot do much with after effects and my mouse curser is changing colour from white to black and back continuos..

Hi Dave,

All the files are fully created within After Effects. The comp size is 4sec.
I think this may be part of the problem… They are 720 x 576.
4 layers They look like this:-

1 text
2 Adjustmant layer
3 wind
4 text this is a copy of number one. This is the one with the particle playground effect.
There is no motion blur light or 3d (I’m not that advanced yet! here’s wishing! lol)
The only other effect i have is on the first text layer which is fast blur set at Blurriness 2.

It’s really wierd, just opened the comp and checking what i’ve used and i cannot do anything with it… The CPU is at 100%, and yet i’ve done nothing.. Do you think its rendering in the background?

If you want i can send you the file is only 182kb. (obviously i need an address)

just so you know the effect im trying to do.. Its a text blowing away like sand effect..

can i just sort this out if thats ok?

When it says make the the last keyframe a hold keyframe… Does this mean the last frame of the 4 seconds?

Tried the in point and out point set but think i may have got this wrong.

Think i’ve sorted everything else but again this is all new to me… You never know i might just get it in the end..

Thanks my friend but i must be in a land of stupid at the moment… Just cannot get my head arond it all. tried doing what you said but ( iknow it takes a while for render times) the render done line did’nt move for over half an hour..

The comp is only 4 seconds long!
