Hi – what’s the most elegant (quick) way of getting MPEG2s from consumer camcorders into MC5? With Express Pro I used to use Procoder to transcode to a QT DV preset intended for Express Pro, which then imported into the bin fairly quickly. Doing the same thing with MC5 takes forever, leading me to assume that there’s now a better way. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, but no – I get a message saying Long GOP media cannot be exported using same as source, please select a custom resolution or transcode to an l-frame only resolution instead. I have got the sequences out of MC5 now as QT but it took over 12 hours to export 2 hours of material – is that normal? I was really hoping for a faster workflow than that…
