What do you mean ‘then reverts the picture to just a second’? Do you mean that you enter 0.1 and after you press Enter, the figure in the ‘New still image length (seconds)’ box displays 1.000? It doesn’t for me. The YouTube video that was suggested for you to watch is exactly the process that I proposed for you.
‘when I make it 0.001 and I drag my picture in it can’t be seen at all’ – That figure of one one-thousandth of a second is just far too small. The smallest that can work is the duration of a single frame. If your movie is 25 frames per second, that would mean each frame is 1/25 second, naturally. That is 0.04 seconds. Anything smaller would be too small to fill a frame, so I’m not surprised that movie studio doesn’t show you anything. Try some other values greater than, say, 0.05 and see what happens. Try 0.2, 0.5 and so on. If any work, then 0.1 (the value you really want) should also work.
