I will give it a go but I think Kalle may be right. At this stage I think it’s best to re-edit and regrade. We won’t make that mistake again. Thank yo so much again for your expertise and input. I hope I can repay some time.

Thank You Kalle for your swift reply. I believe you are right here. The compression of the footage from 25fps to 24fps prior to editing the film obviously caused the lag. I am now dealing with a completed film with one frame missing every second as you describe. The expression idea seems like a very good suggestion. I am not sure how to input this so any help would be good. Unfortunately the sound files all match this new lagging footage. Thanks again.

Thankyou once more. Luckily the editor has converted to pro res 422. So I retain the codec at 422 for colour grading and render out as you had suggested in your first reply. That’s great and thanks again for clearing this up.

Once again you are a wealth of info. Thank you for your swift reply. I still am not sure, however, what format I should be using in after effects for colour grading. should i decompress the codec back to original format. many thanks.

Thankyou very much for clearing that up. That could have been costly if we had of ran with imovie.
