It looks like you have to buy the paid version to read the .mlv files. The lite version only reads the .raw files that Magic Lantern used for their first version of RAW recording.

I was having problem with footage that I had changed the speed on blurring after the render. When I went into the speed otions and unchecked the frame blending the footage rendered just great.
