What I’ve gathered is that Youtube, unfortunately for myself in this scenario, simply sucks at displaying stuff like colorful confetti.. Switching from 60fps to 30fps did help things a little.. To answer your question, I originally encoded the video as H.264 with the “Youtube 1080HD” Premiere preset.. thnx!

Hi everybody..

So.. quick update..

I tried a bunch of different things to nix my flickering pixelation glitches, and the one thing I’ve found to work is, when exporting, changing the “bitrate encoding settings” to “VBR, 2 pass.” Can anybody tell me what this means, or why it has seemingly solved my odd issue?

Hey Jeff, much thanks for the response!

My final destination for the vid is Youtube.. my last vid looked rather obliterated after all was said and done and uploaded to the net.. And yes, a lot of it was based around maxed out neon red and greens with drop-shadows/gradients.. it was a mess!

As an update, now I’m finding that my vids look dimmer/duller in Quicktime, brighter/harsher in RealPlayer, and ACCURATE (in comparison to the Premiere preview display) after uploaded to Youtube.. Hmm.. so I’m not sure how to make sense of this..!

Hi Richard, thanks for the response..

The best export setting I’ve been able to find so far is “H.264 HD 1080p 29.97.” There is still a slight fuzziness in the export and notable differences in coloration between Premiere/Quicktime/RealPlayer -though I’m not seeing anymore “flickering pixelation.” I guess the main issue with this setting is that the export comes out to about 1MB per second.. which is much larger than I was aiming for. Any thoughts?
