  • thanks john it will be helpful!

i still looking for an app doing it in one step, converting it in native fcp with subtitles. i found imedia converter
    https://www.iskysoft.com/imedia-converter-mac.html
who does it but doesn’t have .mov with pal options just ntsc, and just Xvid or H.2546 encoder? and i nedd the dv codec right!? the frame rate can be changed but not the aspect ratio to 720 x 576 (pal)!?

Is this possible!!? that an application ignores the European market!? or is there a workaround to get a good quality output for me!?

if understand you right john, the subtitle capture i do with a different app than streamclip, which maintains the problem of compressing it twice!? If there is no app out there i think i’ll go for doing the subtitles myself in final cut, copy pasting the text file i’ll get from d-subtitler.

    any other suggestions!?

    thanks a lot!
    daniel
