Texturing is probably one of Element 3D’s weakest points. Precomp your logo and texture into compositions that are the exact same size and work from there. As far as I know, you’ll need to create a second bevel to texture the sides of your object.

  • You sure can. Just Alt+Click or Opt+Click the keyframe button of the parameter of what you want to parent. The pickwhip button will appear below and you can drag it to the property you want it to follow.

  • All of the effects in the video can be achieved in After Effects, most pretty easily. If you don’t understand the software though, you’ll have no idea where to begin. I suggest watching some beginner tutorials to start getting a feel for what can be done.

I personally find the secondary color correction with the “obsolete” three-way color corrector to work better, but maybe that’s just because I’m used to it…

So, unless I am misreading something, you’re using a stolen version of the software and complaining that it is crashing?

This is easier in After Effects, but can be done in Premiere with the title tool. The Vegas technique was neat, but not much slower than using the title tool and maybe markers in Premiere. Notice he didn’t arrange the text on the screen either, which would consume more time than just typing in each word.

I don’t know of any. Unless you’re experienced in 3D, drawing (or shooting like Dave suggests) your own silhouettes would probably be easier than trying to setup a 3D model the way you want.

Check this site. Even if you don’t buy their machines, there is a lot of good info on graphics cards, processors, etc.

I’m not familiar with the codec, but it sounds like you may have to change the pixel aspect ratio before you export.

Offset them in z space so they look like they are stacking on top of each other.
