the error-message is encoding error!?

so have you encoded your assets (films) prior authoring or not? it´s better to encode them using adobe media encoder first, then start authoring.

NOTE: before you encode your stuff, you need to do a bitbudgeting.

it´s not a limit of 18 button over all, it´s just a limit for each menu.

so you can have 2 chapter-menu-pages with 18buttons each menu. it´s just a bit work of re-designing and relinking the buttons, and of course linking these two chapter-pages to each other.

simple answer: yes you do!

there is a 18button-limmit within DVD-spec at 16:9 or 24 buttons at 4:3.

so you need to create a 2nd page for chapter-selection.

I haven´t tested this with DVD but we have tested this with encore-created blu-ray disc.

if you would like to create a DVD that wont have 12frames black at the end of your looping menu or would like to use AC3 5.1-audio you should look for another dvd-authoring-solution.

DVD Studio would be your choice on mac, or any other professional DVD-solution on PC.

sorry – no other choice.

hi wes,
this is happening if you are using AC-3 with adobe encore. if you replace it with PCM audio (and set the project-transcoding-settings to PCM), you´ll get rid of this black frames.

blame adobe – that´s a stupid idea!
