  • Hello everyone-

DISCLAIMER: I am by no means an expert in working with color or using Adobe products. I just wanted to post here because I stumbled upon a solution that happened worked for me, and maybe it will work for somebody else too!

Like the OP, I had a series of clips that underwent a slight color shift when using dynamic link (replacing them with an After Effects composition and viewing the composition in Premiere Pro). The solution was to raise the working bit depth in AE. To do this, go into AE, click on the three colored dots on the bottom of the monitor, click “Set Project Working Space”, then change the bit depth from 8 to something higher like 16 or 32. Apparently, the detail that’s lost when going with a lower bit depth was just enough to cause that slight shift in color. When I raised the bit depth to 32 and checked the composition in Premiere again, the colors were correct. Keep in mind that raising the bit depth will decrease rendering performance.

    Cheers,

    Daniel
