Who are you dealing with over at ProMax?
You can also consider Apace’s vStor network storage system for collaborative editing in support of your three FCPs.
The advantage with this approach is that it is via multi-GE or even can be 10GE that is IP based Ethernet and all the workspace collaboration is done at the file level and at the operating system level. So you do not need any SAN management software to do FCP collaboration. There’s no need to pay the XSAN tax per seat or equivalent.Also there is no need for metadata server for SAN nor setting up fibre channel for your workgroup. Also if you want to add powerful notebooks for editing to your set there is no SAN fibre connection for those.
vStor is as easy to manage as a server and as it has a browser interface you can access it from anywhere in the world.
Apace also has media asset management and other tools that can help you maximize management and access to your data if you elect to down the road. And if you want to connect any PC or Linux or Unix nodes to your workgroup it is interoperable with them and can support all other video or graphics apps.Hope this helps, FWIW you can call Apace and they will do a webex to show you their inter face.

You should check out Apace systems:
Apace Systems can offer you a file based storage appliance for collaborative real time editing called vStor that is high performance enough on servicing your multi stream SD, ProRes and DnxHD requirement for your workgroup that avoids you having to deal with iSCSI all together. With file based approach which is the natural state of your workspace and media, MAC and PC deal with your shared storage at the network file system level SMB and CIFS/SMB and as there is no iSCSI protocol agent running on your workstations anymore to steal precious editing CPU cycles from your workstations up to 30% your file baed appliance will handle all of that more efficiently. Also you do not need to worry about any SAN management software for your iSCSI. And you do not have to worry about iSCSI block based interoperability of your PC and MAC set up.
Additionally, vStor network storage appliance interoperates with FCS and will be seen by FCS as a network drive.
Also, if you want a media asset management that not only works with Apple Final Cut but other video editing and graphics workgroups and media, Apace can offer you postMAM their browser based media asset management that has a superset compared to FCS in functionality to support all heterogeneous editing and graphics workgroups. Also as an additional feature called ViEW that is unique to Apace and it offer Remote rough cut editing through your browser and interacting with our postMAM MAM. FCS does not have remote editing ability.Last but not least all of their storage systems are web browser based, MAC FCS workspace aware and as a server can be loaded with special functional application blocks for MAM and beyond. This level of flexibility allows you to manage the system resource from remote site and is ideal for IT support.
Apace is one of the best kept secrets out there, give them a call and they will do a webex to show you their interface and how easy it is to use.

I keep telling them they need to advertise a little more, I always say “they are the best kept secret”.
They have an end to end workflow for FCP, their own Media Asset Management Software (MAM)plus more. Give Jeanclaude a call, he will do a webx with you to show the interface and what it will do.
There’s a lot of marketing hype out there, see it for yourself before you make a decision.

I wouldn’t limit yourself to just EditShare, check out Apace Systems as well. EditShare does a good job and Andy, as Bob stated, will give you the personal touch, but so will Jeanclaude.

My apologizes for the cap lock being on. It’s hard to diagnose the issues you are having without knowing more about your system and how it’s configured.
