Hi Roland, thanks for this. I am sure you are right but I haven’t been able to get it to work.

The first two steps work:
1 – Range selector 1, start 0, end 2. Animate start to go from 0 to 1. First line fades in.
2 – Range selector 1. Animate start to go from 1 to 2.
Rang selector 2, start 1, end 6. Animate start to go from 2 to 3. Second and third lines fade in simultaneously.

I get stuck on step 3 (line 4-6 fade in simultaneously). I can use the second range selector to fade in line 4 but then I cannot get around thinking I need another two range selectors to fade line 5 & 6 to fade in at the same time as line 4.

I am intrigued: could you elaborate on what settings you would use to make my example work with one animator and three range selectors? I tried it but could not figure it out…

Sorry, I should have described my wishes more precisely…

I want the first line revealed, then reveal the second and third line TOGETHER (they both fade in at the same time and speed) and then the same for the fourth, fifth and sixth lines.

No, word spacing is not the same as leading or kerning.

From Wikipedia:
Leading refers to the amount of added vertical spacing between lines of type. Kerning is the process of adjusting letter spacing in a proportional font. Word spacing is the process of increasing or decreasing the space between words.

Unfortunately your guess is not correct: you can only set the character spacing there.
