    Thanks – that’s just what I needed.

Thanks for the input. I’m sorry, I wasn’t very detailed in my description of what I have so far. My aerial shot doesn’t include the helicopter. It’s actually a still of a Power plant taken from an elevation to show the full property. By scaling and rotating the shot and adding SFX, I can give the impression that video is being shot from a helicopter. But, I’m wondering if a little vibration (how little?) and/or simulated shadow from the blades might turn this from a nice effect into something special. The sequence only involves 15 seconds in a 15 minute safety video so I don’t want to go crazy but I think with some advice I might be able to punch this sequence up – thanks,

I would go back and redo the clips at a less excessive data rate but my client is happy and I don’t want to revisit the trial and error process I’ve gone through over the last few days. In the past, I’ve avoided wrapping my brain around the variables of encoding by sticking to the presets. But I think I’m going to have to place a higher priority on understanding what’s going on. I can visualize my client’s eye’s rolling to the backs of their heads as I mention data rates, sampling sizes or audio codecs as the reasons I can’t get their videos to work – better to keep the sausage making behind the curtain. Thanks again,

Thanks for you help. The higher audio data rate (192) did solve the problem. I’m stuck using Cleaner at present but intend to upgrade since, like most producers, almost everything I do winds up on someone’s website. I gather from other posts that Episode is the way to go for Mac users? I’ve been wondering how and why the output from an encoder like Episode would be better than exporting directly to flash from an application like After Effects, Premiere or Final Cut? Thanks again.

Thanks again for the help. Expressions are really powerful.

The first expression gives me a dimension error message.

The second expression provides a very nice, natural feeling bounce back and is a significant improvement over my efforts but how can I gradually scale the illustration over time (indicating a build up of stress) and then have it bounce into its normal shape? It would also be useful if the effect only stretched horizontally as that would allow me to use it with text (RESILIENCE) later in the program.

    Thanks for the help.

I don’t really need a transistion since the stretched file remains visible after the snap back. It’s actually an illustration of a child who is resilient so that she snaps back in the face of adversity. I played with various scale settings (using negative settings to emphasize the recoil) but the snapping back into to position after stretching doesn’t look organic.
