Thank you for posting on this. The recent quicktime upgrade to 7.7 rendered every one of my quicktime files unusable. To downgrade your existing quicktime, get pacifist and then follow these instructions: https://www.digitalrebellion.com/blog/posts/using_pacifist_to_downgrade_quicktime.html

My files work again, and I am considering never doing another software upgrade as this has been truly infuriating.
