    Eureka! Thanks for the tip! I knew it was something simple that I was overlooking. I checked the dpi on the file I was working with, and for some reason the background pic was at 150 dpi. I tried starting the project over this morning with 72 & 300 dpi and viola! Crisp, sharp fonts like they should be. Thanks again for the help!

    My mistake for not being more specific. I meant the extra ram (in general) doesn’t go to waste… but 11 GB of ram?…Yeah there’s definitely ram going to waste on xp32 bit!

    Yeah AE won’t recognize more than 3GB ram… I had a similar problem with my 4GB. Windows xp32 bit won’t recognize more than 4GB ram… you have you get xp64 bit to use more ram. I assume you are already using xp64…. unless of course you’re using a MAC. I got AE to recognize one extra GB of ram by using the “/3GB boot.ini switch” – (Google it).The extra ram DOES NOT go to waste however….. system processes, background stuff can use the ram…blah blah blah you get the point.
