Her video was 29.97 (not 24p, my bad) so that’s what the comp was set to originally since I knew it was going to be a DVD. But yeah, it’s very obvious her film is nowhere near the quality of mine lol, it’s an early 2000’s pocket camcorder. And it was an indoor wedding with poor lighting so the ISO and digital zoom was ROUGH, but the customer is always right! Especially when it’s a friend. =)

One last question regarding FPS. Normally I create an HD version for the web and try to do some nice slow motion clips for dramatic effect. If I wanted to slow down my 60p clips inside a 29.97 comp I could just turn off frame blending for that clip once I drag it into the timeline, correct?

    I appreciate the feedback guys!

I bought CS5 back before they were going the online subscription option, so I’ve been kinda indignant on using AE. I realize there are better options now but it also gives me the ability to do some effects that premiere won’t. I had used the old premiere (not Pro) years back and liked it for the most part.

Anyway, I appreciate the reply. I did a quick test and confirmed what you are saying. I started getting the dreaded “after effects error overflow converting ratio denominators 17 18” and was starting to think it was directly because of using 60p and 24p videos in the same project. That’s why I was asking initially. I got the errors to shut up long enough to render it. So far so good!
