When I create a new project, i would like to move it to a different external hard drive, thus letting me take the hard drive to my own mac to work on the project.

Will the steps you have mentioned copy all of the necessary files? Or am I going to have the same problem again?

Also, when I made the initial copy the bars at the top, telling me the Original and Modified media were the same amount. Why is it that some of the files were not copied?

Is there some media that the media manager is not finding before it makes the copy or what?

thanks for all of your help the “Lanczos” filter helped. I also changed my project presets and now have the image looking perfect!

I apologize.

I have tried just about every option available. ProRes 4444 seems to be the least blurry, but still not acceptable.

When I imported the image into motion, it was so big that I had to scale it manually (turned off scale to canvas option) to 30% or less just to get the image to fit on the canvas. Why am I losing so much image quality, and when is it happening?

I am planning on using the sequence as an opening logo for a production company.

It would be attached to a fcp project and eventually burned to dvd.

I will check out how it is formatted when I get home, thanks for that tip.

As far as the copying. I am copying it from the My Book Studio on a firewire connection to a My Book Elite on a USB connection.

Not sure. It is a Western Digital My Book Studio (designed specifically for macs).

It is a plug and play and I don’t think it asked me anything specific about formatting.

(is there a way that i can check how it is formatted?)

Thanks for responding. Question: do I have to “split” the timeline when I export it to Compressor? If so, do you have any recommendations for doing that?
