Well, I got it all working so here’s a link to the video.
As of yet I’m not planning on using it in any larger projects but it may end up being useful somewhere….

Thanks man, that worked a treat. I just ran the script and adjusted the Z-axis offset. I now have 150 layers positioned perfectly!
