Oh okay,i get it now.So I should convert all my videos to MPEG…and what about the codecs,do i need more codecs to download?

Sorry i forgot to mention. Okay so in Gspot i opened up my mp4 file,my mov file,my avi file and an mp3 file too.English is only my second language so i dont really get how to use Gspot,but here’s what is said.

Mp4: Video: Codec: avc1 Name: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC
Audio: mp4a

Mov: Video: Codec: mpv4 Name: ISO MPEG4
Audio:Codec: mp4a

Avi: Video: Codec: XVID Name: XviD ISO MPEG-4 -Codecs installed
Audio: 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3 -Codecs installed

Mp3: Audio: MPEG-2 Layer 3 -Codec installed

So these are the details,but if the codecs are the problem how come for a few minutes SV can play the files but than its like the play button stucks.Though i can still drag that cursor over the files and i can still see video and play it with that Shift+B composition (without sound though) ,but i just cant seem to play it with the Play Button.I never had this with my other windows.

I downloaded Gspot and it does play the videos i imported to Sony Vegas,so i think i have the right codecs and my files in the right format.But when i go to SV and try to play the videos,for 2 or 3 minutes i can see them in the preview monitor and when i press play it plays the whole video just fine,but after 2 or 3 minutes of editing the videos,putting markers in the timeline its just stops working.Its like the Play button is stuck…i just dont know what to do…maybe i hit a button once or the settings are wrong,i dont know…

My files are MPEG-4 and the audio is of course mp3.i installed DivX code and Mjpeg motion code too and i have quicktime player and VLC and DIVX player too,so i just dont get what im doing wrong…
