Thank you so much for your quick response. After looking at the link you referred, I think I know now how to ask the correct question. Have you ever tried creating a 2d cartoon effect using live video as the basis? Some of the effect applications I’ve seen look like they would be interesting when applied to my son eating his birthday cake. Watercolor, or charcoal drawing, or “cartoon” stylizing. Nothing “elaborate” just 2d. I’m supposing when using a technique applied to video footage, the computer renders each frame applying the effect to each frame automatically.

Thank you for your response. I was thinking of the possibility of the live video of the kid eating his birthday cake appear as a 2d hand drawn animated style.
