  • Thanks for the help. I broke the connection in the Finder by moving the clips into a new folder. Then I replaced the H.264 clips with the new ProRes clips in the the folder. Opened FCP and reconnected the clips with the new ProRes clips (having the same names and located in the same folder). Now I got the clips I can work with. Thanks!!

“Save for Web & Devices” limits my file size to 2MB, I need a much bigger file of 8MB. I click the “Optimize for file size” option, and the largest it will go up to is 2 MB. If there’s a way to change the limit then how? Or is there another way?

Repaired Permissions still same problem. Also opened the project in a new account which created new preferences. Plus we opened the project on a different mac, and the same problem occured.

One interesting thing I found is that if I create a new blank sequence it will paste there perfectly. It seems to be in a sequence that has been around for a while or possibly a sequence that has been duplicated (which I do a lot).

That’s my workflow, I create a sequence then fiddle with it. I then duplicate it when something major is going to change, so I can go back to the previous version if the changes don’t work out.

What do you think about reloading the software? Something could be corrupted, possibly?

I’ve been using FCP for awhile, never having this problem. I’m wondering if it’s a singular event, because I’ve found no one who has this problem, nothing online. If you have and/or solved this problem please help. Possibly need to re-install FCP?
