    hello…

one point of clarification on this one:

[Fredy Schwerdtner] “3- Forget about .png files (for transparency). Make them jpeg . Internet Explorer doesn’t like Alpha channels. “

that’s only ie6 and lower, actually – 7 and 8 are fine w/ alpha channels. also, you can use a javascript-based solution for ie6 _if_ your alpha png images are not in backgrounds – here’s a site and a script that does that:

    hello…

depends what you’re selling, really. a few good free ones that i’ve seen are:

    – oscommerce (as long as you don’t need to customize it – otherwise you’ll need a lot of programming knowledge to do so)

    – magento (they have a free edition)

    – paypal (if you’re not selling a ton of things)

    hope that helps a bit!

    hello…

ya – you need to add some align and valign attributes to your td tags, and also remove the unneeded cellpadding, cellspacing and border attributes for those same td tags (the latter 3 attributes only apply to a table tag)…

you can brush up on td and table tags here:

    https://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_td.asp

once you get the align stuff set up, it should work…

    hello…

unfortunately, w/o seeing actual code, it’s pretty hard to offer any type of solution – try your table alignment and make sure it’s set to valign=”top” in that right cell…

September 21, 2009 at 3:27 pm in reply to: IE display differences

    hello…

i think the align=”right” attribute on the image itself (not the wrapper table) is the culprit – try removing that and see if they then work in ie…

if not then let us know!

    hello…

depends on your definition of affordable, i guess. dreamweaver is the defacto standard if you don’t want to learn the code directly, and adobe has a free demo on their site that you can try…

    hope that helps!

    hello…

well – you’d have to edit a template if you’re using one or insert some html to do it. it’s sort of a vague question, so unfortunately i have to answer a bit vaguely as well… :-/

sorry to not be of more help and if you can provide more info, we can certainly try to offer more specific advice!
