have you considered installing a webserver on your local machine (such as apache)? then you have all the functionality you’d need to do testing and development locally…
if you want to research that, google “install apache” (sans quotes) and your os and there will be a ton of good articles on how to do that…

it works in ie and firefox for me – perhaps you have a 3rd party plugin that is blocking access (like ghostery or the likes)?

can you drop out the html from here so that your example frames aren’t messing up the page? it’s hard to read what your issue is… :-/

you could always create some ie-specific style calls either in the header or via a browser test / import of an ie only css script…

or if you are running php or another scripting language, you can test their browser there and do an import that way for ie…
(and then of course you could style css letter spacing in said css.)

any reason you can’t just download the video from the site? even if it’s a major video site like youtube, there is software that will save an mp4 copy for you – google up youtube download or the likes…
(but be careful with some of those as they can be filled with malware)
or did you have something else in mind?

there are a ton – google flash slideshow or the likes. also, consider using a javascript one as well – there are even more of those. here’s a nice list of some jquery ones:

yes – monitors are rgb and printing is typically cmyk. again, though – same thing. people learn to tell what the differences are between their monitors/setup and their final prints and they learn to adjust images to fit the desired goal. so it might look a little dark, etc. on their monitor, but they know it will print right.
it takes repetitive practice and experience. but it’s not as hard as it sounds…trust me.
